Job Purpose: The Installer I is responsible for supporting the installation of Nurse Call and related low-voltage healthcare systems under the direction of senior technicians and leadership. This entry-level role is designed for candidates with a minimum of 18 months of related experience or equivalent knowledge. The Installer I must demonstrate strong technical skills, consistent reliability, and the ability to follow established standards and procedures in healthcare facility environments. The pay range for this role is between $24.00/hour and $28/hour, commensurate on relevant education, experience, and other job related factors. Duties and Responsibilities: Install and terminate cables and connectors including RJ45, RJ12, 6-pin, 8-pin, and T-Tap Install Nurse Call field devices according to specifications Follow engineered drawings and standards to ensure accuracy Maintain proper cable labeling methods and identify all cable types and uses Apply knowledge of Nurse Call system topology and device setup Retain and apply skills learned through on-the-job training Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently Inspect, secure, and log tools and ladders Maintain safe and organized worksites, securing all equipment properly Participate in jobsite safety meetings and toolbox talks Consistently maintain punctuality and reliability Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and project leadership Accurately complete timesheets and required reporting Demonstrate professionalism in daily interactions with colleagues and clients Apply basic computer knowledge to company applications including Email, Vista, Raken, and Labor Chart Accurately manage and submit documentation related to work performed Overnight travel as required Other Duties: This job description does not list all the duties of the job. Required Skills & Abilities: Minimum 18 months of installation experience or equivalent knowledge Thorough understanding of low-voltage installation considerations and techniques Ability to follow engineered drawings and highly complex technical instructions Knowledge of cable labeling methods and proper cable identification Proven ability to terminate and install various connectors and field devices Understanding of basic Nurse Call system topology Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software Basic computer proficiency with company applications (Vista, Raken, Labor Chart, Email) Detail-oriented and organized with strong problem-solving ability Excellent verbal and written communication skills Consistent punctuality, reliability, and strong work ethic Ability to use hand and power tools, including power-actuated tools (hammers, drills, saws) safely and efficiently Ability to see a full spectrum of color for correct wire identification Reliable transportation to and from job site Education, License and Experience: High School Diploma or approved equivalent. Holds an OSHA 10 or higher certification as well as thorough knowledge of guidelines covering the NEC and TIA/EIA standards. Ongoing involvement and training through Beacons training programs Physical Requirements: Requires sitting, prolonged standing, walking, handling, gripping, pushing, pulling, and reaching over head with force. Also requires stooping, crouching, crawling on knees and work along floors/sub floors. Ability to physically transport ladders up to 12 feet in height and lift ladders off vehicle roof racks. Must be willing and able to climb and stand on ladders and scaffolding. Frequently lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds, sometimes overhead. Maintain a clear background check to satisfy customer jobsite badging requirements. Willing to submit to all vaccinations and screening tests required for customer jobsite badging protocol. Maintain a clear drug and alcohol screening protocol. Maintain a valid Drivers License. Travel Requirements: 20-50% travel in Rocky Mountain region, as needed.
