As we continue to expand into adjacent regulatory sectors, including healthcare, FDA, and life sciences, we are seeking an experienced Lateral Healthcare/FDA Non-Equity Partner to join our dynamic and collaborative team. This role is ideal for a partner with an established and scalable practice who is interested in leveraging Vicente LLP’s national platform to grow their book of business. The successful candidate will bring deep regulatory expertise, meaningful client relationships, and an entrepreneurial mindset, while playing a key role in practice development and firm growth. Requirements Essential Functions and Responsibilities Serve as a trusted advisor to healthcare, life sciences, and FDA-regulated clients on complex regulatory, compliance, and transactional matters. Advise clients on FDA issues, including the Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, medical devices, dietary supplements, pharmaceuticals, and emerging therapies. Counsel clients on federal and state healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, licensing, reimbursement, and compliance program development. Maintain and grow an existing book of business while identifying new client and cross-practice opportunities. Represent clients in administrative, regulatory, and enforcement proceedings before federal and state agencies. Monitor and interpret regulatory and policy developments affecting healthcare and FDA-regulated industries. Collaborate across practice groups to deliver integrated, multidisciplinary legal solutions. Contribute to firm leadership, mentoring, and strategic firm-building initiatives consistent with a partner-level role. Qualifications JD from an ABA-accredited law school with strong academic credentials. Significant experience practicing healthcare and/or FDA law in a law firm, government, or in-house setting. Portable book of business of $400,000.00 - $800,000.00 annually. Active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (CO, MA, NY, FL, TX, DC, or CA preferred, but not required). Deep working knowledge of federal healthcare regulations and FDA frameworks. Demonstrated ability to originate, manage, and expand client relationships. Excellent legal writing, communication, and client counseling skills. Entrepreneurial, collaborative mindset aligned with a growing national firm. Commitment to client service, integrity, and contributing to a diverse and inclusive firm culture. This job can be done from: CO, MA, NY, FL, TX, DC, OR, CA, or other US locations. Preferred Skills Experience with cannabis- or psychedelics-adjacent health products, telehealth, or digital health companies.
