REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 5 years in healthcare operations or revenue cycle leadership, preferably across multi-site practices.
  • Deep knowledge of front-end and back-end RCM workflows including authorizations, eligibility, denials, and AR follow-up.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage interdisciplinary teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Experience with ModMed or similar EHR systems.
  • Strong understanding of payer-specific rules, coverage policies, and documentation requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to manage up and down.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION:

  • Experience in ophthalmology or multi-specialty surgical settings.
  • Background working with both in-house and external billing teams.
  • Familiarity with revenue automation and performance metrics tracking.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in ModMed, including scheduling, charge capture, claims submission, denial tracking, reconciliation modules, and the use of dashboards and reporting tools to monitor productivity, KPIs, and revenue cycle performance.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate all front office operations including scheduling, intake, patient registration, and check-in/check-out workflows across all sites.
  • Support and manage back-end revenue cycle processes including charge entry, payment posting, denial management, and AR follow-up.
  • Serve as the direct operational contact for 22 providers and clinical teams, ensuring administrative processes support clinical productivity and patient satisfaction.
  • Maintain real-time visibility into appointment volumes, schedule utilization, and revenue workflows.
  • Supervise front office, billing, and AR staff, facilitating performance reviews, training, and ongoing workflow improvement.
  • Manage day-to-day issue resolution and escalations across departments including authorization delays, coverage denials, claim submission issues, and payment delays.
  • Ensure proper system access (ModMed, clearinghouse, payer portals) is maintained across the staff.
  • Work with Jorie’s AR leadership to resolve high-dollar or complex denials, reduce aging, and meet DSO goals.
  • Collaborate with billing teams on timely filing compliance, secondaries, bundling issues, and patient balance workflows.
  • Identify and escalate automation and process redesign opportunities to Jorie’s consulting or technical team.
  • Coordinate training and documentation efforts to reduce variation in processes across sites.
  • Own daily productivity tracking and reporting for all assigned teams.
