Healthcare Project Manager
Hybrid with some on-site visits required in Grand Rapids, MI Full-time. Candidate Must be located in Michigan and be on site at least 1/month.

​We are currently seeking a driven and skilled individual for the position of Sr. Project Manager of Strategic Initiatives to lead complex, cross-functional projects across a large health system, driving strategic transformation and operational excellence. This role requires deep expertise in healthcare IT, clinical optimization, and agile project management. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with a proven track record of managing enterprise-level initiatives, engaging diverse stakeholders, and delivering measurable outcomes.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, Smartsheet).
  • Deep understanding of EHR systems (Epic preferred or Oracle Health or Cerner).
  • Familiarity with healthcare IT infrastructure and regulatory requirements (HIPAA, HITECH, CMS).
  • Strong analytical and workflow analysis capabilities.
  • Experience with SaaS strategy and implementation.
  • Proven success in clinical optimization initiatives and leadership.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a passion for healthcare transformation.
  • Resilient and adaptable in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Committed to excellence, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working with executive leadership and governance bodies.
  • Must be able to work onsite Grand Rapids, Michigan.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Information Systems, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 7–10 years of project management experience in healthcare or health IT.
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
