CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Quality Officer to join us in the South Dublin and Wicklow Area. The role will require you to perform a variety of duties in the area of client services in the community and governance to ensure we provide the highest quality services to our Service Users. While you will be based in our Manor Homecare office, some of your time will be spent in the community visiting clients as and when required. You will report directly to the Area Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support (or relevant modules) preferred.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or home care setting.
  • Compassionate, flexible, and committed to delivering high standards of care.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting others.
  • Strong understanding Risk Assessments and reducing Risks to the lowest possible levels in order to keep Staff and Service Users safe
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including short-notice coverage.
  • Full, clean driving license.
  • Own Car.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure smooth maintenance of existing business and identify areas of further development.
  • To manage, support staff, to ensure a high- quality delivery of service is maintained.
  • Ensure sufficient levels of personal protective equipment are available for care staff and ensure they are wearing these when completing the necessary tasks
  • Report and record all complaints and adverse incidents
  • Governance on One Touch
  • Support the Manager in the internal audit processes
  • Completion of weekly reports to Management
  • Participate in the ‘Out of Hours’ call Rota evenings and weekends at the discretion of management.
  • To carry out other duties and responsibilities commensurate with post and the needs of the organisation in order to develop and maintain service delivery.
  • Overall responsibility and ensuring the highest quality care is and supporting the office with monthly support meetings to meet targets
  • Ensuring the care being delivered is meeting people’s needs and the requirements of the Health Service Executive (HSE) and other local health authorities in accordance to the care agreement.
  • Mentoring and supporting a large team of Care Staff.
  • Liaising with management for completing KIP’S.
  • Attentively dealing with the requirements of Service Users and Care Staff and managing expectations where required.
  • Expeditious dealing of varying situations or service delivery issues.
  • Network building and enhancing existing relationships with healthcare professionals and multidisciplinary teams in acute and community settings
  • Assisting with visits, developing and reviewing care plans, conducting service enquiries and care consultations as needed.
  • Monitor the proper use of the recording journal, One Touch and ensure accurate recording of data by Care Staff.
  • Identifying the need for further Record Keeping on either One Touch or Written logs and sharing such information with the Homecare Manager and the Director of Operations.
  • Monitor, mediate and manage any Service Users concerns and issues if requested to do so by management.
  • Report on a daily basis to your regional manager and to keep them aware of any notifiable events immediately.
  • Conduct and assist with training on and off site.
  • Data entry and maintenance of records including any conversations to the clients, HSE and PHN’s.
  • Answering incoming calls in a courteous and professional manner on a daily basis.
  • Assisting on occasions with home visits either on your own or with other Care Staff
  • Reporting regularly to Quality Officer, Clinical Lead, HR and Payroll as required either to help cover calls or deliver training.
  • Applying a flexible attitude to working hours especially in regards to covering absence & holidays, including bank holidays, evenings & weekends promote the growth of the organisation with both the HSE and Private Service Users, or when requested help develop and grow new areas of business.
