POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and compassionate Healthcare Receptionist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role as the first point of contact for our patients, ensuring efficient management of front desk operations, patient scheduling, and supporting overall patient satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and basic computer applications.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a welcoming environment.
  • Efficiently manage patient check-in and check-out.
  • Schedule, confirm, and adjust patient appointments in accordance with practice protocols.
  • Handle patient inquiries via telephone, email, and in-person communication.
  • Coordinate patient flow by notifying providers of patient arrivals and managing appointment schedules effectively.
  • Ensure accurate data entry, maintaining patient records with confidentiality.
  • Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain necessary pre-authorizations.
  • Collect co-payments and process patient payments.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area.
  • Support administrative tasks such as scanning, faxing, and filing as needed.

Hours of Operation: (must be available the following hours)

  • Monday through Thursday: 9:00AM - 7:00PM
  • Friday: 9:00AM - 2:00PM
  • Saturday: 9:00AM - 1:00PM
  • Sunday: CLOSED
