EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a Health related discipline required.

EXPERIENCE

• At least 3 years’ experience medical surgical nursing with intensive care background preferred.
• Past Experience in leading teams in the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for retrospective reviews and Failure Mode Effect. Analysis (FMEA) processes

CERTIFICATIONS/OTHER REQUIREMENTS AS APPLICABLE

• Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) or will be certified as CPHRM within 2 years
• Detail oriented, conscientious and systematic with a high level of accuracy to do the job.
• Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written.
• Team player, but able to function independently with minimum supervision.

• Software: Microsoft office, specifically PowerPoint, Excel, ACCESS, and Word.

• Significant problem solving and use of nursing and/or other clinical knowledge in the area of clinical risk assessments

• Analysis and interpretation of data from JHAH databases, EPIC, DATIX, and other sources.
• Assists clinical patient safety teams with presentation and publication of their data and findings.
• Works in collaboration with Risk team, Patient Safety Officers, Quality Improvement and Quality Analytics Teams.
• Provides education on aspects of data analysis, research and publication to all levels of staff. Assists with maintaining accurate and confidential data.
• Assist with the performance of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for retrospective reviews and Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA).
