Our Healthcare Security Guards play a vital role in maintaining safe environments in hospitals and health facilities while delivering superior customer service and de-escalation support. This position offers meaningful, hands-on experience in violence prevention, emergency response, and crisis management — providing a strong foundation for future careers in law enforcement and security services. Responsibilities Monitor patient safety reports and communicate changes to Protective Services and Clinical staff Report all incidents in accordance with site regulations Respond to alarms and emergency calls for assistance Enforce safety codes, regulations, and procedures Handle private and confidential information with discretion Utilize two-way radios and computer applications to communicate site activities Monitor and professionally screen visitors and clients Respond to and de-escalate high-stress situations while maintaining order Ensure the safety of patients, staff, and visitors using de-escalation techniques and physical intervention when required Log and document all incidents and patient interactions accurately Maintain detailed site logs Travel to various healthcare facilities as required Must live within 30 minutes of Hinton, AB Valid Class 5 Driver’s License (Class 1–5 accepted) Own reliable vehicle Full availability, including overnight shifts and weekends Ability to obtain an Alberta Security License Authorized to legally work in Canada Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong interpersonal and customer service skills Ability to write comprehensive reports Ability to make immediate decisions and remain composed during emergencies Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion Ability to perform under pressure Physically capable of walking 18–20 km per shift and climbing stairs Competitive wages with premium hourly incentives for on-call work Travel incentives Health Care Benefits (as per plan eligibility) Dental Benefits (as per plan eligibility) Company-provided uniforms Extensive training and development Promotions from within Rewards and recognition programs
