Location: Slave Lake, AB Schedule: Variety of shifts including overnights and weekends Pay Rate: $26.01/hour Employment Type: Full-Time Overview Paladin Security is seeking a dedicated and professional Healthcare Security Guard to join our team in Slave Lake, AB. As a key member of a national leader in security services, you will play an essential role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This position requires strong communication skills, sound decision-making abilities, and a proactive approach to safety and emergency response. Responsibilities Apply strong decision-making and communication skills in all security and safety duties Ensure all safety and emergency procedures are followed Follow site-specific Post Orders and complete required training Conduct traffic and pedestrian control at access points Patrol assigned areas on foot or in a motor vehicle to ensure personnel, building, and equipment security Monitor for safety hazards, infractions, and irregularities Report security breaches, facility hazards, and emergency situations Provide assistance and support to individuals in need Contact emergency responders (police, fire, ambulance) when required Maintain strict confidentiality and integrity of sensitive information Respond to inquiries professionally and appropriately Utilize two-way radios and computer applications Promote workplace safety and demonstrate professionalism and integrity Support and motivate team members Must live within 30 minutes of Slave Lake Valid Class 5 Driver’s License (Class 1–5 accepted) Own reliable vehicle Full availability, including overnight shifts and weekends Ability to obtain an Alberta Security License Authorized to legally work in Canada Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong interpersonal and customer service skills Ability to write detailed reports and maintain site logs Ability to make immediate decisions and remain composed in emergencies Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Ability to work under pressure Physically capable of walking 18–20 km per shift and climbing stairs Competitive wages Health Care Benefits (as per plan eligibility) Dental Benefits (as per plan eligibility) Company-provided uniforms with monthly dry-cleaning allowance Opportunities for growth within a national organization
