Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare & Support Worker to join our team, providing essential care and assistance to individuals in various care settings. In this role, you will play a vital part in enhancing the quality of life for residents and clients by delivering personalized support, ensuring safety, and promoting independence. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a warm, safe, and nurturing environment for those in your care.

Duties

  • Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity.
  • Provide patient care by monitoring health conditions, administering medication as prescribed, and assisting with medical routines.
  • Support individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's by implementing behavior management techniques and engaging them in meaningful activities.
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary.
  • Conduct light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
  • Offer emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a positive atmosphere.
  • Drive clients or residents to appointments or outings when required, ensuring safe transportation.

Qualifications

  • Prior assisted living or nursing home experience is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of patient care practices, including medication administration and first aid certification.
  • Experience with dementia, Alzheimer's, hospice, or senior care is preferred.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when assisting with mobility or transfers.
  • Strong caregiving skills with a focus on compassion and patience.
  • Valid driver’s license for transportation duties; clean driving record preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members.
