Under the supervision of the Healthy Living Manager, this position is responsible for sharing information and answering customer inquiries regarding health, fitness, and natural nutrition. In addition, Healthy Living Supervisors are responsible for maintaining inventory levels, placing orders, receiving/stocking product, and providing excellent customer service.

As a Department Manager, you will be expected to lead by example and mentor others to support these principles as part of Pomme’s culture.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience working with supplements in the field of natural nutrition
  • Advanced Holistic Nutrition (AHN), Registered Holistic Nutritionist (RHN), Registered Holistic Nutritional Consultant (CHNC) certifications or any combination of related education and experience is an asset.
  • Previous retail leadership experience, preferable in the natural nutrition/wellness field
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Sales experience is considered an asset
  • Have the ability to train, coach, and motivate team members
  • Have an interest in all natural, organic, local and healthy ingredients and foods as well as a commitment to recycling and eco conservation

Responsibilities

Supports the Healthy Living Manager to:

  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Handle customer inquiries or complaints in a professional manner
  • Share information and answer customer questions about health, fitness, supplements, and natural nutrition
  • Place orders, stock, rotate, merchandise, and face product according to department procedures
  • Receive product deliveries ensuring order and invoice accuracy
  • Supervisor department staff and provide regular feedback
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe back-stock room
  • Examine merchandise to identify items to be reordered or replenished
  • Create displays
  • Perform weekly shifts as a key holder; opening and closing the store
  • Work closely with management to maintain store standards and achieve sales targets
  • Liaise and communicate effectively with corporate, management, and store-level personnel
  • Maintain a positive work environment
  • Adhere to company loss prevention standards
  • Cover additional shifts as necessary in order to meet the operational needs of the store
  • Perform other duties as assigned or directed
