Special Education Teacher – Deaf & Hard of Hearing (DHH) Michigan | Full-Time | School-Based Clarifi Staffing Solutions is partnering with a Michigan school district to hire a dedicated Special Education Teacher with a Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) specialization. This full-time, school-based opportunity is ideal for an educator who is passionate about accessibility, inclusive instruction, and supporting students with hearing differences across educational settings. In this role, you will provide specialized instruction and communication support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, ensuring equitable access to academic content and meaningful participation in the classroom. You’ll collaborate closely with general education teachers, related service providers, interpreters, and families to create supportive, student-centered learning environments that promote independence, confidence, and academic growth. Key Responsibilities: Consult with school staff to support inclusive practices and accessibility. Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies based on data. Support students’ self-advocacy, communication skills, and social development. Adapt curriculum and instructional materials to support access and engagement. Develop, implement, and manage IEPs in compliance with Michigan and federal guidelines. Deliver individualized instruction using appropriate communication methods and accommodations. Requirements Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) strongly preferred. Strong collaboration, communication, and instructional planning skills. Experience working with students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing preferred. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or a related field. Valid Michigan teaching certification with a Deaf and Hard of Hearing endorsement (or eligibility to obtain).
