Description Carelink is hiring a part-time Hearing Aid Specialist to work a variable schedule 1-2 days per week. Position Overview: The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping individuals with hearing loss, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those we serve while building a fulfilling career. This is a part-time position will average 8-16 hours per week. Essential Functions Provide patient counseling on hearing health and assistive devices Fit, dispense, and maintain hearing aids and other assistive devices Document patient information and progress in electronic medical records Communicate with other healthcare professionals regarding patient care Stay current on industry developments and advancements in technology Requirements Qualifications – Required Experience working in audiology or a related healthcare field. Certification from a recognized body like the National Board for Certification in Hearing Instrument Sciences (NBC-HIS). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in using audiometric equipment. Ability to stay updated on the latest hearing aid technology and advancements. Experience in sales or customer service. Comfort with administrative and record-keeping tasks. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Audiology or Hearing Instrument Science State license in Audiology or Hearing Instrument Dispensing Minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Familiarity with electronic medical records and hearing aid technology Physical Demand/Work Environment · Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. · Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Responsibilities

The specialist will provide patient counseling on hearing health and fit, dispense, and maintain hearing aids and assistive devices. They are also responsible for documenting patient progress in electronic medical records and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
