Overview Participates in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the left ventricular assist device (LVAD) program and the heart transplant program; to coordinate and manage the patient care of this high-risk patient population throughout the continuum. Responsibilities Participates in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the left ventricular assist device (LVAD) program and the heart transplant program; to coordinate and manage the patient care of this high-risk patient population throughout the continuum. Qualifications Education Graduate from a nursing program Required Work Experience 2 years of professional clinical experience Required Cardiovascular focus experience Preferred 1 year experience caring for LVAD patients and heart transplant patients Preferred Licenses and Certifications RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Required ACLS Required BCLS - Basic Life Support Required Business Unit : Company Name Piedmont Atlanta Hospital

Responsibilities

Coordinates and manages the care of high-risk patients within the heart transplant and left ventricular assist device (LVAD) programs. Participates in the development, implementation, and maintenance of these specialized clinical programs.
