FTE: 1.0 Standard Hours: 40.00 Shift: Shift 1 Hours may vary from 8:30 am - 5 pm or 9 am - 5:30 pm or when last patient recovery leaves. Monday through Friday, no weekends and no holidays. Heart & Vascular/Interventional Radiology Clinical Assistant We are seeking a dedicated healthcare professional to join our dynamic Cardiac Cath Lab team with cross-training opportunities in Interventional Radiology. This versatile role combines patient care, clinical support, and operational responsibilities in a fast-paced cardiovascular setting. Key Responsibilities: Welcome and check in Heart & Vascular patients, ensuring a positive first impression and smooth registration process Efficiently room patients and prepare them for procedures according to clinical protocols Accurately measure and document vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, temperature, and oxygen saturation Maintain optimal inventory levels by stocking procedure rooms, supply carts, and storage areas Safely transport patients to and from procedure rooms, recovery areas, and hospital units Perform thorough room turnover between cases, including cleaning, disinfection, and preparation for subsequent procedures Assist clinical team members during procedures as needed Cross-train in Interventional Radiology to provide support across both specialty areas Document patient information accurately in electronic medical records Job Summary: Provides patient centered care across the procedural areas. Inventory duties may include but are not limited to: labeling equipment for outdates, pulling expired product, scanning products into inventory system, inventory counts, stocking supplies as needed for procedure rooms or PAR, utilization of proper phone etiquette. Patient care duties include but are not limited to: detailed/clear communication by phone and in person to prepare patients for procedures, transporting patients or supplies as needed for procedures, manages the SPD process for the procedural area. Other duties as assigned. EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: A minimum of 1 year experience in a clinical or hospital setting is preferred. EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: High School diploma or equivalent is preferred. SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION: Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail when performing care, resolving patient care problems and dealing with patients and families. Ability to use general medical support equipment, including patient lifting devices; understand and follow instructions, as well as give clear directions to patients and others in need of assistance and guidance; good listening skills. Ability to use standard office equipment including computers, fax, copy, document scanners, and tube stations. Knowledge of basic medical terminology and human anatomy. LICENSURE DESCRIPTION: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
