Location: Ferndown
Salary: £25,688 per annum
Working Hours: 38 hours a week. Monday to Thursday between 7.30 and 16.00 and Friday between 7.30 and 13.30. Unpaid lunch break of 30 minutes Monday – Thursday and 15 minutes paid break Friday.
Pension :4% employee and 4% employer.

To support ongoing business growth and restructuring, Halyard (M&I) is relocating a laminating/assembly process to their fabrication site at Ferndown Industrial Estate. This is an exciting opportunity to join a new team of 4 Laminator/Assemblers at Halyards Ferndown Fabrication site.

JOB SUMMARY

As a key member of a new team, the job holder is responsible for applying the various insulation materials in layers to stainless steel riser sets in accordance with the Heat Shell Laminating/assembly instructions and quality standards. Working within a team of 4 undertaking the key responsibilities listed below, embracing cross training and rotating work within the assembly and curing area.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Working in a factory fabrication and assembly environment.
  • Working from detailed instructions and differing assembly processes.
  • Experience with GRP laminating is preferred but not essential.
Responsibilities
  • Using your own initiative, once fully trained to follow detailed instructions to laminate/assemble insulation shell coverings for Heat Shell Riser Sets.
  • Always ensure correct use of PPE and report H&S improvements and/or near misses to the Fabrication Supervisor/Manager.
  • Ensure work schedule is achieved each week and high output standards are consistently met.
  • Inspect all work prior to release to final inspection and stores.
  • Ensure all process information has been recorded and document sections completed.
  • Undertake a flexible approach to working hours ensuring output and customer requirements are met.
  • Embrace training to develop own skills including, continuous improvement, Health & Safety and Quality
  • Maintaining high 5S and housekeeping standards
  • Ensures compliance with and supports all Health & Safety regulations and other Company policies and procedures within the department
  • Report Health & Safety improvements and near misses to Fabrication Supervisor/Line Manager.
  • Undertake other tasks as identified by the business, which are generally in line with the interests and overall development of the Company as a whole.
