Come join Northstar Aerospace and be part of the exciting future we have ahead. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The essential duties and responsibilities of this position are listed below. This list is not all inclusive and may be amended by Northstar, from time to time. Setup, operate and adjust plating lines. Heat treats production parts using heat treating equipment Process parts in heat treat ovens and quench tanks according to work instructions Adjust, set up and operate heat treat equipment (furnaces) Record times that parts are removed from furnaces to document that objects have attained specified temperatures for specific times Adjust controls to maintain temperatures and heating times, using thermal instruments and charts, dials, and gauges of furnaces. Perform quality checks of products and assure good product. Read prints and routings Operator pallet jackets and other material handling devices. Follow established machine settings and parameters Perform preventative maintenance on machines Perform 5s activities within the cell. Must be able to work any shift Ability to use precision instruments Lean and 5s experience Knowledge of plating processes and production lines preferred. Use decimals, fractions and shop mathematics. Mechanical aptitude with the various types of tools used in the machining process Qualifications
