Description

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and qualified Plumbing & Heating Engineer to join our team.
At Fletcher Heating & Renewables Ltd, we are a family-run business covering the Rochdale & surrounding areas with over 15 years of experience in the industry. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service and are looking for self-motivated, driven individuals who are approachable, professional, and able to build strong rapport with customers. The ideal candidate will have a long and varied background in the Gas Installation Industry and be eager to embrace new technologies in the renewables sector in the future.
As one of our Engineers, your responsibilities will include carrying out high-quality maintenance, servicing, repairs, and installations in domestic properties. This will cover a broad range of work, including plumbing & heating. You will ensure all gas work complies with Gas Safety Regulations and maintain a professional and polite manner when dealing with customers in their homes. A strong dedication to delivering an excellent customer experience is essential, as well as being competent in fault-finding and resolving issues across a wide range of heating systems.
This role will involve plumbing and heating works, domestic gas installations (including radiator and boiler replacements). It is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied workload.

Skills & Requirements

  • Full, clean driving licence (Essential)
  • Current ACS/Gas qualifications with a minimum of 3 years’ Gas experience (Essential)
  • Plumbing experience – minimum 3 years (Essential)
  • Unvented Hot Water (G3) (Preferred)
  • CCN1 Domestic Gas Safety certification & Boilers, Cookers & Fires (Essential)
  • Extensive knowledge and proven experience in the Plumbing & Heating sector (Essential)
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently (Essential)
  • City & Guilds (Preferred)

  • Working hours: Monday to Friday (Times TBD)
  • Work location: Field-based / On the road
  • Job type: Full-time
  • Salary: Hourly Rate £17-£20 (negotiable depending on experience, qualifications, and skill set)
  • Overtime and emergency call-out opportunities available
  • Work Location: Field-based / On the road
  • Start Date: To be confirmed (October/November)
