Join the ALMEX Family at our Parry Sound, Ontario facility, situated in the heart of the stunning 30,000 islands, where we are currently looking for two Heating Element Workers to join our team!
Please note that regular hours for this position will be 3:30pm- 12am.
Base Rate: $27.50/hour - Afternoon shift premium $2 per hour.

OVERTIME AND SHIFT WORK MAY BE REQUIRED.

We are looking for reliable, mechanically minded candidates.
Experience preferred but not required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience manufacturing or working with heating elements.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing/ machining environment.
  • Possesses a mechanical aptitude/ familiarity with mechanical concepts.
  • Skilled in setting up and operating machinery.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision in measuring and quality control.
  • Familiarity with various materials, including metals and plastics.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting drawings and blueprint.
  • Awareness of safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Operate production line machinery and computers
  • Perform pre-shift tool and equipment inspections
  • Troubleshoot production line machinery
  • Perform equipment change overs
  • Responsible for quality control
  • Make necessary adjustments to produce product within specifications
  • Reject product outside of specifications
  • Operate within standard operating procedures SOPs and job safety analysis JSAs
  • Operate forklift, overhead cranes or mobile yard cranes (if qualified)
  • Complete daily production timecard through MES-Epicor
  • Perform daily preventive maintenance PMS on production line machinery or tools
  • Communicate with operators from other shifts
  • Clean and maintain work area
  • Lock out equipment in the event of equipment failure
  • Work shifts work as required
  • Must meet other qualifications and checklists as required
