POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a detail-oriented Heavy Civil Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates for heavy civil construction projects, including but not limited to water, wastewater, and site development projects. This role involves analyzing project plans and specifications to determine project costs and ensuring that bids are competitive and profitable.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an estimator in heavy civil construction.
- Proficient in estimating software such as HCSS Heavy Bid and On-Screen Takeoff.
- Strong understanding of construction management principles and practices.
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
- Experience with budgeting, cost analysis, and value engineering.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment and site development processes.
