Description Tired of Winters? Come to Sunny South Florida! Position requires a Senior ASE Certified Technician with strong computer and interpersonal skills. Responsible for the regular, emergency, and maintenance service of vehicles and equipment two central locations with occasional field work. This position will require the ability to effectively diagnose and perform repairs on Solid Waste Collection Vehicles and Heavy Off Road Equipment : Front, Rear Load, Roll Off Trucks, Off Road Equipment, and light duty support vehicles. Work with up to 5 people in one location. This position could have an erratic shift due to the nature of the business and the various shifts equipment operates Essential Duties and Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned. Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicles (trucks, heavy equipment, etc.) using specialized tools and computer diagnostics to fix issues with engines, brakes, electronics, hydraulics and more. Participate in the day-to-day operations with other employees in the maintenance shop. Coordinates all maintenance work and repairs, and monitors progress and quality, on a priority basis. Reviews driver repair requests, other maintenance requests, and prepares work order documents. Performs mechanical service duties in an efficient and timely manner. Monitors inventory of replacement parts and restocks as needed. Oversees lower ranked personnel including coaching, training, evaluating employee performance for management. Interprets and ensures consistent application of organizational policies and safety regulations. Creates and submits progress or advisory reports on as necessary. Other duties as assigned. Requirements What we're looking for: High School Diploma or GED (accredited) minimum required Minimum of four (4) years of relevant work experience required Minimum Class B CDL license required Certificates, Licenses, Registrations applicable to role including: any ASE or other formal training certificates in Heavy Truck Repair, Hydraulics, Air Conditioning, Diesel Mechanics including but not limited to electronic, diagnostic, after treatment, etc. Experience with Volvo, Allison, J Pro, and Cummins Diagnostics. Strong problem-solving, technical skills, and physical stamina Maintenance and repairs skills experience required. Knowledge of safety standards and regulations. Welding experience preferred. The requirements are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job. Candidates that meet or exceed these requirements will be given preference for consideration.
