We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our team. This is an opportunity for a qualified and experienced Heavy Diesel Fitter, working in our Mackay Workshop in Queensland. This position suits a trade qualified Fitter who enjoys working in a hands-on workshop environment, who takes pride in maintaining heavy mining equipment to a high standard and values working in a safe and well organised environment. Family-owned business with long term opportunities. About the role Perform diagnostics, fault finding and repairs on heavy mining equipment. Carry out preventative and scheduled maintenance in a workshop environment. Complete safety documentation including inspections, JSA’s and SLAM’s. Identify and communicate maintenance or safety issues promptly. Maintain accurate records of work completed. About the you: Essential Trade qualified Heavy Diesel Fitter (Australian recognised qualification). Experience in mining maintenance or heavy equipment environments. Experience working on Caterpillar 789D or similar equipment. Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance skills. High commitment to health, safety and quality work. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Current Australian Open Drivers Licence. Willingness to undergo pre-employment medical and random Drug & Alcohol screening.
