We are open – you could be a qualified and experienced plant and equipment technician who can hit the ground running in the field. Or you could be qualified and experienced in a different heavy diesel discipline (agriculture, road transport, materials handling) and want to learn our industry starting in the workshop. Our heavy diesel technicians fault find, diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, service, perform maintenance and rebuild Cat equipment. Planning your day to ensure maximum efficiencies, managing your workload and completing all associated admin and paperwork are also part of this role. Our Invercargill techs are supported by a hugely experienced Leading Hand and Service Manager and surrounded by a great, knowledgeable team. Our Napier operation, covering the whole of the Hawke’s Bay region, works across multiple industries, but equipment from the forestry, construction and marine industries make up most of the work. Responsibilities

The technician will perform fault finding, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance on Caterpillar equipment in either a workshop or field environment. They are also responsible for managing their daily workload and completing all necessary administrative documentation.
