GRAYFRAME Ltd. is a formwork company that was established in 2004. It is a fast-paced ever-evolving company with over a dozen varied projects on the go at any one time. We are looking for someone to join our crew as soon as possible. The focus of Grayframe is concrete formwork, which includes the use of PME, fleet equipment, and small engine equipment.
Candidates should be prepared to work flexible hours, early morning, later shifts, and weekends. Over-time may be required. Applicants must have a minimum of three years of experience as a journeyperson heavy duty technician in the heavy commercial construction industry. Candidates must have good English communication skills, and follow safe work practices, including Alberta OH&S Legislation.

The position will include, but may not be limited to, the following duties:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on small engine equipment such as blowers, generators, compressors.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fleet of service trucks and small trailers.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on PME such as telehandlers, AWP, cranes, and concrete pumps.
  • Regularly perform inspections and record the findings on all equipment.
  • Ensure equipment is in compliance with Alberta OH&S Legislation.
  • Ensure on-road equipment is in compliance with local regulations, Alberta Transportation, and Transport Canada.
  • Assist the equipment manager with day-to-day operations of equipment maintenance.
  • Source the correct OEM parts for equipment from the manufacturer or approved dealers.
  • Source repair procedures for equipment repairs.
  • Perform duties both in the field and in the shop.
  • Review repairs completed by third parties.
  • Deliver fluids and supplies to equipment operators on site.
  • Record all maintenance and repairs in the appropriate log books.
  • Report to the equipment manager.

The ideal candidate will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Journeyperson HET (Off-Road) certificate (essential).
  • Experience working on diesel engines (essential).
  • Experience working on hydraulic systems (essential).
  • Ability to use electronic devices (essential).
  • Class 5 driver’s license (essential).
  • Class 1/3 with “Q” endorsement driver’s license (preferred).
  • Welding and fabrication experience (preferred).
  • General construction experience (preferred).
  • Experience working on cranes (preferred).
  • Tire experience (preferred).
  • Ability to use email and basic MS office apps (preferred).

Service truck and phone will be provided.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45.00-$53.00 per hour
Expected hours: 44 – 55 per week
