About the Role We’re looking for a Heavy Equipment Technician to keep our fleet running safely and efficiently. In this role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment to make sure everything is ready to go to work. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working independently, and taking pride in quality workmanship. This role is on a rotation of 14 days on / 7 days off. What You’ll Be Responsible For Equipment Readiness Ensure all trucks, trailers, and equipment are work-ready at all times Identify issues early to prevent downtime Maintenance & Repairs Perform preventative maintenance and regular servicing Inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions Diagnose hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical issues Complete repairs ranging from minor fixes to major overhauls Test equipment after repairs to confirm safe and proper operation Documentation & Quality Complete work orders and inspection reports accurately Ensure all work meets manufacturer standards Team Support Train and mentor apprentices as needed Support team members and maintain strong working relationships across operations Additional Work Perform welding repairs on equipment and attachments Take on other duties as assigned What You Bring Experience 3+ years of experience working on heavy equipment Experience with Peterbilt, Ford, CAT, John Deere, or Komatsu is an asset Education & Certifications Journeyman, or Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician Valid driver’s licence with a clean abstract Class 1 licence is an asset Skills & Abilities Strong mechanical aptitude Comfortable using technology and diagnostic tools Welding experience Ability to work independently and as part of a team Positive, can-do attitude Willingness to travel and work away from home when required What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Employer-paid benefits package Health Care Spending Account (HCSA) Employee & Family Assistance Program (EFAP) Employee Share Purchase Plan (ESPP) Profit sharing opportunities RRSP matching program Company vehicle provided for field work (as required) Company-provided IT equipment This is a full-time, long-term opportunity.
