Job Title: Heavy Machinery Operator (Mining Vehicles) Location: Morgan City, LA Pay: $32.00 per hour Schedule: Full-time (30+ hours/week) Travel: Up to 50% Job Overview: We are hiring experienced Heavy Machinery Operators to support the safe operation, testing, and performance of 20-ton mining vehicles. This role involves operating equipment, conducting inspections, and supporting engineering teams with feedback to improve vehicle systems and safety. Key Responsibilities: Safely operate 20-ton mining vehicles and other fleet equipment Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and DVIRs Identify and report maintenance or performance issues Support hardware and software testing initiatives Provide detailed written and verbal feedback to engineering teams Maintain high safety and compliance standards Travel as needed to support field operations Requirements: Minimum 5+ years of heavy machinery operator experience Comfortable operating and backing large (20-ton) vehicles Ability to drive for extended periods Clean driving record (MVR) Must pass background check, drug test, DOT physical, and road test No more than 2 minor violations in the past 3 years No serious violations in the past 5 years No DUI-related offenses in the past 10 years No preventable accidents in the past 3 years Strong attention to detail and a safety mindset Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Nice to Have: CDL A license Why Apply: Competitive hourly pay Work with advanced vehicle and autonomous technology Opportunity to support cutting-edge testing and innovation
