JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy machinery and equipment. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven mechanic experience with heavy equipment operation is essential.
  • Familiarity with Caterpillar machinery, HVAC systems, industrial equipment, and automotive repair is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform heavy lifting as required (up to 50 pounds).
  • Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and welding techniques.
  • Basic electrical experience is beneficial for troubleshooting electrical components of machinery.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics related to mechanical systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and technical manuals to identify problems accurately.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repairs and modifications.
  • Conduct inspections of equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with team members to assemble and disassemble machinery as needed for repairs or upgrades.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their equipment needs and repair status.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance performed and parts used for each piece of equipment.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in heavy equipment technology.
