We are seeking Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanics/Equipment Technicians apprentices (3rd/4th year) to work in our Langley Facility. You will work with a variety of heavy equipment from different brands including Bauer, Liebherr, Soilmec, Manitowoc, Komatsu, and more. This role includes a mix of shop and field work, and is a great opportunity to quickly develop your skills and grow your career in a friendly environment, where your contributions are recognized and celebrated.

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

  • Heavy Duty Mechanic/Equipment Technician Apprenticeship Program
  • Valid driver’s licence (class 5). Airbrake endorsement is an asset.

    Pay: $33.00-$45.00 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Be a safety leader by adhering to and by meeting all safety requirements and applicable safety policies.
  • Diagnose/troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, and perform repair on company equipment (cranes, foundation drills, excavators, wheel loaders, and other support equipment).
  • Function test/operate equipment to verify performance and conformance to specifications.
  • Use of in-house diagnostic tools for troubleshooting.
  • Participate to the assembly of large equipment on site.
  • Responsible for cleaning, lubricating, and servicing equipment.
  • Assist with other duties as required from time to time.
