We are seeking a motivated, Evening/Night Heavy Equipment Mechanic/Field Technician who will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining diesel engines in our fleet of equipment. 5+ years of HD experience in the field is required + clean MVR. NO recruiters, please! Location: Phoenix, 85043 Schedule: 1:30p-11pm (or later if/when work permits), M-F with two Saturdays a month required JOB DUTIES Some job duties include but are not limited to: · Climbing, stooping, bending, squatting, and frequent lifting of tires 50lbs+, · Safety at all time while working on equipment · Perform preventative maintenance inspections (PM) and repairs on all equipment, to include tractors, trailers, mixers, dump trucks, loaders, skid steers and various other yellow iron · Inspect, troubleshoot and diagnose minor and/or major complex repairs for all equipment · Disassemble, repair and re-assemble of heavy truck and trailer components, including but not limited to: mixers, diesel engines, transmissions, axels and any other components or systems · Maintain a clean and safe work environment WHY WORK FOR GFT READY MIX? · Get paid weekly! · Hourly pay, between $35-$45/hr depending on experience · Enjoy newly updated shop space to complete your work · All training is paid, and we offer full benefits within 45 days of employment, or sooner · 100% employer paid basic life insurance, short-term disability, robust employee assistance program (EAP) + an employee discount program · Voluntary dental, vision, long-term disability, life insurance + other supplemental benefits · Benefit from a 401k with an employer match AND company profit sharing Requirements 3-5 years of field heavy duty diesel mechanic experience, particularly with mixers is required. We are also looking for STRONG after treatment, engine rebuild, and diagnostic experience. You should also be proficient with Mack trucks. The following would also be required to work for GFT: · Must be able to work an evening night shift starting at 1:30p and be willing to work at least 2 Saturdays a month · Basic to intermediate electrical experience · Diagnostic software experience required, such as Tech Tool, J Pro, Cummins · Must be 18 years of age or older · Must have a valid license + clean MVR · Must pass a pre-employment drug screening · Must pass a background check · Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions · Safety conscious · Must be able to work a flexible schedule including the ability to work overtime, nights and/or weekends as needed · Positive attitude and a strong work ethic · Be a self-starter WHO IS GFT READY MIX?
