Description

TECK HIGHLAND VALLEY COPPER

We’re looking for skilled Heavy Duty Mechanics who are ready to make an impact and grow their careers with a company that invests in their success.
As Canada’s largest diversified mining company, Teck is committed to providing the world with essential resources safely and sustainably. We have a rich history of consistently driving innovation, harnessing cutting-edge technology, and cultivating a dynamic environment that empowers our employees to shape the future.
This role is based at Highland Valley Copper, located near Logan Lake, BC — perfectly positioned between the vibrant city of Kamloops and the welcoming small-town communities of Merritt, Ashcroft, and Logan Lake itself.
Whether you’re looking for all the conveniences of city living or the close-knit feel of a smaller town, you’ll find the lifestyle that suits you here. To make your move easier, Teck offers up to $10,000 in relocation assistance. You’ll also enjoy an attractive 4x4 days and nights shift schedule, giving you more time to enjoy everything the region has to offer — from outdoor adventure to quality time with family — and to truly achieve a work/life balance.
At Teck, safety is a core value, not just a priority. Through our Courageous Safety Leadership (CSL) program, every employee is empowered to be a safety leader — encouraging a culture where speaking up, driving positive change, and protecting one another are expected.

BRING YOUR SKILLS. BUILD YOUR FUTURE.

  • Certified Expertise: A valid Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyperson’s Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician or Red Seal Truck & Transport certification.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience — plus a desire to keep learning and growing.
  • A valid driver’s license and the drive to be part of an essential operation.
  • Great interpersonal skills that help you thrive both independently and as part of a tight-knit, safety-first team.
  • You take pride in diagnosing, repairing, and getting equipment back up and running efficiently.
  • Worked in mining before? Great — but if not, your mechanical expertise and willingness to learn are what matter most.
At Teck, your skills won’t just be put to use — they’ll be developed, recognized, and rewarded.

WHAT WE OFFER:

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits
  • Expanded mental health support services
  • Outstanding company-paid pension plan
  • Health & Wellness benefit of $500 annually
  • Relocation assistance of up to $10,000 for eligible candidates
  • The chance to work with world-class equipment and autonomous mining fleets
  • Training, development, and growth opportunities within a global leader
    Hourly Rate: $55.50/hr
We have multiple Heavy Duty Mechanic openings available — and we’re looking for talented tradespeople who are ready to build a rewarding career with Teck.
