POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Heavy-Duty Mechanic to join our maintenance and repair team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on a variety of heavy-duty trucks, trailers, cranes, and specialized rigging equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Journeyperson Heavy-Duty Technician.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in heavy-duty equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license (Class 1 or 3 considered an asset).
  • Safety certifications such as H2S Alive, First Aid, or WHMIS are an asset.

Responsibilities
  • Perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, braking systems, and electrical components.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and safety checks in accordance with company SOPs and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues efficiently and accurately.
  • Document work performed and maintain accurate maintenance records.
  • Operate tools and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Work collaboratively with dispatch, operations, and rigging crews to minimize downtime.
  • Comply with all safety, environmental, and company policies.
