JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in maintaining and repairing a variety of heavy machinery, including excavators, cranes, and farm equipment. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. A commitment to safety and customer service is essential in ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and effectively.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven mechanic experience with heavy equipment; dealership experience is a plus.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various types of machinery.
  • Familiarity with HVAC systems is advantageous.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Experience operating heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and welding techniques for repairs.
  • Basic electrical experience is preferred for diagnosing electrical issues in machinery.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in all aspects of work.

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment and Trailers
  • Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and technical manuals to identify problems accurately.
  • Conduct electrical repairs and maintenance on industrial equipment as needed.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repairs and modifications.
  • Assemble machinery components according to specifications.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used for inventory management.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their equipment needs.
  • Adhere to safety protocols while working in the shop or on job sites to ensure a safe working environment.
