POSITION: Heavy Duty Mechanic
LOCATION: Red Chris Mine, Dease Lake, BC
STATUS: Full Time – Shift work FIFO 2&2
CLOSING DATE: August 5, 2025

POSITION SUMMARY

TNDC is hiring Heavy Duty Mechanics to support operations at the Red Chris mine site in northern British Columbia. Working a 14/14 rotation in a remote camp setting, this role performs preventative maintenance and major repairs on a variety of equipment, including heavy-duty, light-duty, auxiliary, and stationary mining equipment. The role also supports Airport Services equipment and field-based mechanical needs within the Telegraph Creek, Iskut, and Dease Lake areas. Ideal candidates are safety-driven, adaptable to remote work, and bring experience maintaining equipment in mining or industrial environments.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic Interprovincial Red Seal Certification
  • Welding Certification is an asset
  • Maintenance repair experience and knowledge with Caterpillar is preferred
  • Knowledge, understand and practice safe work practices
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and able to use diagnostics
  • A team player that works well with others
