ABOUT THE JOB

We’re seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic at our Walker Compost Facility in Niagara Falls, ON to help keep the critical machinery that powers our environmental solutions in top shape. If you’re passionate about equipment maintenance and looking to build your career in a supportive, safety-first workplace, we want to hear from you! This is a full time position, reporting to the Maintenance Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair equipment such as screeners, grinders, and loaders to keep them running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Follow a structured preventative maintenance program to avoid costly breakdowns and extend equipment life.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment based on manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Use hand and power tools to replace defective components, and even design, weld, and manufacture custom parts as needed.
  • Make quick decisions and exercise good judgment to determine which repairs are urgent and which can wait.
