JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a Heavy Duty Parts Technician at Truck Point Inc., you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the parts inventory for our repair and sales operations. Your role is crucial in ensuring that our technicians have the necessary parts to complete their work efficiently and accurately.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or relevant coursework is a plus.
  • Previous experience in parts management, inventory control, or a related field, preferably in the automotive or diesel industry.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy parts and equipment as required.
  • Knowledge of diesel truck parts and components is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency with Fullbay or similar shop/inventory management systems

Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels of parts and supplies. Conduct regular inventory audits and ensure proper documentation.
  • Parts Ordering: Order parts and supplies as needed to maintain optimal inventory levels. Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of orders.
  • Receiving and Inspection: Receive and inspect incoming parts and supplies. Verify quantities and quality against purchase orders.
  • Parts Distribution: Distribute parts to technicians as required for repairs and sales. Ensure timely and accurate delivery of parts to the shop floor.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of parts transactions, including receiving, issuing, and returns. Update inventory management system regularly.
  • Customer Service: Assist customers and technicians with parts inquiries. Provide accurate information regarding availability, pricing, and delivery times.
  • Organization: Keep the parts storage area clean, organized, and safe. Implement and maintain best practices for parts storage and handling.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and advice regarding parts selection and compatibility.
