OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Trailer Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and experience in maintaining and repairing various types of trailers and heavy equipment. This role requires a commitment to quality workmanship and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven mechanic experience with a focus on trailer repair or related fields.
  • Familiarity with computerized diagnosis is an asset but not necessary.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate forklifts and other heavy machinery.
  • Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and performing welding tasks is an asset.
  • Basic electrical experience is beneficial for troubleshooting electrical issues in trailers.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills for effective customer interaction.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 2 years or experience.
    Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
    Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 50 – 60 per week

Responsibilities
  • Must know Engine repair for Volvo, Peterbilt, Cascadia and Kenworth
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on Trucks and Trailers, ensuring they meet safety standards.
  • Perform Truck /Trailer scheduled Oil Change, Brake Adjust and Brake Adjust
  • Should be able to perform tire change.
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts.
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work.
  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repairs.
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required.
  • Trailer wiring and electrical.
  • Minor trailer bodywork.
  • Bearing Packs/Re-Packs/Brake Repair, Suspension Work
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs.
