We are looking for an experienced Heavy Diesel mechanic to join our growing team!
Our fleet is a wide variety of equipment; Boom trucks, concrete pumps, dump trucks, Excavators, Dozers, Telehandlers, fleet vehicles, small engines, construction tools. We provide lots of variety with each day possessing new tasks and challenges. We offer a full, competitive compensation package. You will be provided with a company service truck to drive to any job sites or calls and working in our newly constructed shop.
Duties Include:
-efficiently diagnose/trouble shoot problems with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems and make recommendations on the best course of action
-communicate with drivers on vehicle performance and potential issues to watch or fix
- perform scheduled and emergency services and repairs and maintenance to fleet vehicles and equipment in accordance with maintenance schedule
-repair and maintain construction tools and equipment
-log and maintain maintenance records
Qualifications:
-310T license is preferred or be an apprentice with relevant hands-on experience
-ability to evaluate work and priorities and make a decision on your own, or as part of a team
-able to safely operate equipment
-welding experience is an asset
-experience with concrete pumps is an asset
-Must have your own tools
-Must hold a valid automobile drivers license and be able to reliably commute to rural location
