Description United Ag & Turf is a John Deere Dealership with multiple locations across Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico. United Ag & Turf serves customers in a variety of industries such as commercial, construction, agricultural, as well as, consumers. United Ag & Turf strives for exceptional customer experience throughout all our locations and departments including parts, sales, service, and transportation. Independently performs completes on-site diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer agricultural, commercial and turf equipment. May require some direction or guidance from the Field Service Manager. Responsibilities Perform diagnostics and repairs on John Deere equipment and technology Performs diagnostics and repairs in the field as required Maintains accurate inventory of parts kept in stock on service vehicle Mentors Service Technician and Apprentice Technicians Identify and communicate solutions for customer service opportunities in area of responsibility Accountable for billable time and assigned work orders Responsible for complete and thorough documentation of diagnostics and repairs performed on work orders and on time submittal of information. May participate in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge Operates and maintains vehicles, tools and equipment required to perform job responsibilities Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products Benefits: Competitive Pay 401K with company match Health Insurance Paid Holiday and Paid Time Off $1000 annual tool allowance 100% paid uniforms Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Talking and hearing. Additionally, his position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, balancing, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 lbs. Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to perform complex repairs and required maintenance using special tools. Expert knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural and turf equipment. Ability to use computers, vehicles and equipment. Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly. Advanced or Master Service Technician certification preferred. Forklift certification preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required. Valid Driver’s License required.
