Description This position is for an experienced heavy equipment mechanic with knowledge of heavy equipment repairs, diesel engines, electrical motors, chassis and trailer repair. There is exposure to agricultural commodities including soy and wheat. Monthly recognition prizes Company warm merch for the winter Schedule: M-F, 7:00am - 4:00pm, with overtime as needed. Key Job Duties: 1. Prepare reports on a daily and weekly basis 2. Asses, document, and fix equipment including chassis, lift equipment, terminal trucks, payloader, skid steer, container handlers, other heavy equipment, generator sets, and containers 3. Constructs daily and weekly goals for the maintenance department to complete. Provides guidance and training as needed 4. Diagnostic work using computerized or manual testing equipment 5. Perform routine checks to prevent equipment failures 6. Adjust and replace faulty parts to ensure equipment functionality and safety 7. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and standards 8. Maintain daily records of maintenance schedules, repairs, and inspections 9. Reports on priorities and work plan to the Management 10. Perform daily housekeeping and preventative maintenance duties 11. Trains, leads, and helps other mechanics Requirements Highschool diploma or equivalent preferred Minimum 2 years experience in heavy equipment repairs, diesel engines, electrical motors, chassis and trailer repair, parts inventory, work orders Organizational skills Effective communication Time management Experience with Microsoft office products, terminal operating systems, SharePoint or google drive Ability to frequently lift over 50 lbs Ability to work in all weather conditions Ability to push and pull up to 80 pounds occasionally Ability to ascend and descend ladders
