Description

The Heavy Vehicles Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy vehicles and equipment, including trucks, trailers, construction vehicles, and other machinery. The role requires strong technical expertise, troubleshooting skills, and working efficiently under minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on heavy vehicles.
  • Have Experience with Construction Equipment such Excavator, Cranes, Generator (Minimum 5 Years)
  • Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, brake inspections, and tire rotations.
  • DC Electric knowledge is preferred (Not mandatory)
  • Identify and replace faulty components such as engines, transmissions, clutches, axles, and differentials.
  • Conduct safety checks and ensure all repairs comply with industry and company standards.
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and diagnostic reports.
  • Operate diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot vehicle issues.
  • Maintain records of all repairs, parts used, and services performed.
  • Follow workplace safety procedures and ensure proper use of tools and equipment.
  • Collaborate with other mechanics and maintenance staff to optimize efficiency.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Diploma or certification in Automotive/Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in heavy vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electronic control units (ECUs).
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals and schematics.
  • Experience using diagnostic tools and software.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy parts and work in various weather conditions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid UAE driving license (preferred but not mandatory).

Preferred Experience:

  • Hydraulic Knowledge is preferred
  • Experience working with brands like Mercedes, Volvo, Scania, MAN, or Caterpillar (if applicable).
  • Previous work experience in construction, transportation, or industrial sectors.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and fleet management.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED3,500.00 per mont
