Job Description DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) is seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanic to join our team. This role includes the maintenance and repair of vehicles and equipment, including vegetation spray systems—under the supervision of the Shop Manager. Full-Time and Part Time Opportunity Available! Key Responsibilities: Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on diesel, gasoline, and spray equipment. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and spray system issues. Conduct inspections and test drives to ensure safe operation. Maintain accurate repair records and shop inventory. Assist with equipment fabrication and custom builds. Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Respond to emergency breakdowns in the field when required. During downtime, assist vegetation spray crews in the field, including railroad vegetation management operations. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training in mechanics preferred. Valid driver’s license with a minimum of 5 years of clean driving history required. Class B CDL preferred but not required. Proven experience repairing heavy trucks (both gas and diesel). Welding experience required. Skilled in using hand tools and power equipment, including chainsaws, trimmers, and blowers. Experience working on sweepers, catch basin trucks, and tractors required. Willingness and flexibility to work overtime is needed. Must have your own tools.
