Beer Industrial Service Inc is seeking a Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician/Millwright or 2nd/3rd year Apprentice to join our team!
About Beer Industrial: Well-established, family owned and operated business, specializing in hydraulic equipment service and maintenance, we have served Southern Alberta since 1997. We service a variety of equipment, including industrial off-road (telehandlers, forklifts, truck mounted cranes, loaders, excavators, scissor-lifts, and man-lifts), agricultural, and large industrial production lines (hydroelectric turbines, and food production lines). We offer a unique opportunity for our employees to gain service experience in many different types of equipment, and learn the niche trade of hydraulic specialization. WHAT WE CAN DO FOR YOU: - Competitive pay rate ($35 to $45+/hr) based on experience and certification level - Dependable Schedule: Monday to Friday 8AM -4:30PM (1/2-hour lunch) with NO required overtime, which means more freedom and time for you and your family! Can accommodate earlier start time and end time if needed. - Opportunity for advancement - Guaranteed 160 hours/month - 3 weeks paid vacation upon starting - Yearly $1,000.00 tool allowance - Yearly $ 400.00 boot allowance - Yearly Christmas bonus - Complete health benefits package – Small staff - Journeyman technicians on staff to help guide through apprenticeship - Very little repetitious work - Small-staff environment.
Who We are Looking for: - At least 2 years of related work experience- Strong background and interest in mechanical/hydraulic repair on a variety of industrial and/or agricultural equipment. - Mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills - Strong attention to detail - Ability to read and follow repair manuals and write service reports - Ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics - Willingness to work as part of a team and/or independently - has own basic set of tools/toolbox - Willingness to learn.
Additional Applicable Skills: - Mobile service truck experience - Gear box and transmission repair - Equipment operation experience (forklifts, pickers, etc.) - Self directed work ethic - Welding, grinding, torching skills
