Plaisted Companies is looking for a dependable Heavy Equipment Mechanic to help keep our fleet running strong. If you’ve worked on loaders, dozers, excavators, trucks, or similar equipment — we want to talk to you. Whether you have experience in heavy equipment, diesel, ag equipment, trucking, or construction maintenance, your skills may be a great fit here. What you'll be working on Wheel Loaders Dozers Excavators Haul Trucks Rollers/Packers Conveyor systems Screen decks & wash plants You’ll handle diagnostics, repairs, preventative maintenance, and inspections to keep our operation moving safely and efficiently. Schedule Monday through Friday, the shift would be during the hours of 6:00am to 5:00 pm. Overtime available after 40 hours Pay $27.00-$30.00, depending on qualifications. Requirements What we're looking for At least 1 year of mechanical or maintenance experience Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems Reliable and safety-minded Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors Able to lift up to 75 lbs with assistance when needed If you don’t have MSHA or a CDL but are willing to obtain them, we encourage you to apply. Education Required: High School Diploma Preferred: Mechanical Trade School Experience Required: One year of experience in a maintenance environment Preferred: Three years' of experience in a maintenance environment

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on a variety of heavy equipment including loaders, dozers, and conveyor systems. Ensure the fleet operates safely and efficiently through regular inspections and mechanical fixes.
