Applicant should have 6 mos. to 1 yr experience in heavy equipment mechanics. *Bronze Level Veteran Friendly Employer from Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency* The Opportunity: Heavy Equipment Mechanic – Reese, Michigan Full-time Could this be you? A heavy equipment mechanic employee will perform repair work and maintenance for DHT’s heavy equipment, consisting of off-road trucks, excavators, bulldozers, frontend loaders, skid steers and various other types of heavy machinery used in the excavation industry. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will diagnose equipment faults and perform scheduled maintenance and repairs. In this role you will: • Consult with the excavation manager to collect information on equipment history, any problems with the equipment, and/or known maintenance or repairs required • Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains construction and heavy equipment • Diagnoses faults and malfunctions of equipment • Estimates repair timeline and provides managers with time estimates • Performs routine and preventative maintenance in accordance with equipment manufacturers maintenance/service schedule • Cleans, lubricates, and performs other routine maintenance work on equipment Compensation Package: • $20-$26/Hour Depending upon experience • Pet Insurance • 401K with Partial Employer Match • Healthcare Insurance (Medical, Vision, Dental) after 30 days employment • Short-term & Long-term disability • Paid Vacation after 1- year employment.
