Stanmore offers flexible services and equipment to the Greater Toronto Area and is also home to Load Lifter Rough Terrain Forklifts. We offer rental, sales, and service of Load Lifter Forklifts, Magni Rotational Forklifts, and JLG products.
We are looking for Heavy Equipment Mechanics, both in-house and mobile, who can perform preventive maintenance and repair of our fleet equipment. Our mobile technicians are provided with a fully stocked service vehicle.

SUMMARY:

The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on our rental fleet and heavy equipment. You will be working with Rough Terrain Forklifts, Rotational Forklifts, Aerial Boom Lifts, Scissor Lifts & more. This position is based out of our Uxbridge location and we are seeking both in-shop & Mobile Mechanics

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience performing maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment
  • Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment
  • Must have their own basic work tools. Task-specific tools will be supplied
  • Punctual, willing to learn, work well with others
  • Maintaining a valid driver’s license is a job requirement
  • Able to work on occasional Saturdays and evenings when required

    Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Perform various maintenance, repair, and diagnostics as required working with everything from engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and more.
  • Work with oxygen and acetylene torches
  • Work with others effectively and courteously
  • Self motivated to complete tasks as efficiently as possible, following Health and Safety guidelines from the company
  • Maintain inventory of supplies
  • Maintenance of own and company tools and vehicle. Company vehicle must be kept clean and safe as per the guidelines
  • Maintain documentation as per Highway Traffic Act
  • Other duties as assigned.
