Staiman Recycling Corporation, a growing leader in the business for over 120 years is looking to add an experienced Equipment Mechanics to their Maintenance Team! This is a first shift position with hours of 7AM to 4:30 PM.

SKILLS OF THE HEAVY EQUIPMENT MECHANIC:

Applicants should have excellent troubleshooting skills in hydraulics, electrical, engines and power train systems.
Repair and replace damaged or worn parts.
Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools.
Operate and inspect machines or heavy equipment to diagnose defects.
Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers’ specifications.
Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles.
Read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings. Overhaul and test machines or equipment to ensure operating efficiency.
Fit bearings to adjust, repair, or overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs, using engine diagnostic equipment such as computerized test equipment and calibration devices.
Examine parts for damage or excessive wear, using micrometers and gauges.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS OF THE HEAVY EQUIPMENT:

Applicants should have 5+ years of experience.

Diagnose any mechanical, electrical, or other breakdown or failure of company trucks and other mechanized equipment.
Read precision instruments such as micrometers, dial indicators, bore gauges, voltmeters, digital multi-meters, calibrators, and other electronic diagnostic tools.
Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis of the component parts and systems on mechanized equipment.
