HEAVY EQUIPMENT MECHANIC – TRURO, NS

Aggregate Equipment Atlantic Ltd. is currently seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our growing company in Truro, Nova Scotia.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Strong mechanical aptitude and desire to learn
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Familiarity with computers and diagnostic programs
• Strong time-management skills
• Commitment to customer service and service excellence
• Must be able to lift 50lbs and climb equipment
• Class 5 Driver’s License

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• Certified Journeyperson in Heavy Duty Equipment technician trade or equivalent is preferred
• Previous mechanical experience in a heavy-duty environment

• Diagnose, repair and perform maintenance on construction equipment on customer sites.
• Plan, research, and prepare tools and equipment for jobs independently
• Complete service calls in a professional and competent manner, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Maintain high safety standards and perform work according to manuals and site guidelines.
• Complete service reports and logs promptly and with attention to detail.
• Participate in technical and product training continuously.
• Travel to customer job sites throughout Atlantic Canada, including overnight travel on a regular basis, and weekend and extended travel periodically.
