We are seeking a skilled and reliable Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in operating track hoes and excavators with CAT controls, possess a Class A CDL, and be proficient in driving a 5th wheel manual transmission. This role is essential for supporting highway and construction operations.

Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy equipment including track hoes and excavators (CAT control systems required).
• Drive and maneuver trucks with 5th wheel trailers (manual transmission) to and from job sites.
• Assist with the transport, positioning, and removal of concrete barrier walls.
• Support the installation and removal of construction and traffic signage and work zone setup as needed.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance to ensure safe and proper functioning.
• Work collaboratively with ground crew and site supervisors to ensure safe and efficient job execution.
• Adhere to company safety protocols and DOT regulations at all times.
• Complete logs, inspection reports, and other required documentation accurately.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment, specifically excavators and track hoes.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with clean driving record.
• Experience operating manual transmission and 5th wheel vehicles.
• Ability to understand and follow job site safety plans, instructions, and traffic control layouts.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Experience working in highway or infrastructure construction preferred.
• Familiarity with traffic control and work zone safety standards.
