Salary is based upon experience. Position Responsibilities: Operate all heavy equipment in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant policies and procedures. Perform daily safety and maintenance checks. Clean heavy equipment as scheduled and/or required. Ensure heavy equipment is safely and securely stored. Advise Management of any requirements for maintenance or repairs. Participate in routine maintenance. Practice workplace safety. Requirements 1+ years’ experience in Heavy Earthmoving Equipment Operations (i.e. excavators, dozers, articulated trucks, etc.), or the equivalent in training. Knowledge of safe & productive operation of heavy equipment. Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license. Successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol and medical/physical capability requirements. Successful criminal background screen may be required. Ability to be a team leader in all safety aspects of the position. Position will require travel and possible weekend work. Must be willing to work over-time. Required Education: High School or equivalent.
Responsibilities
The operator will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating all heavy equipment used in heavy civil construction projects, while also performing daily safety and maintenance checks on the machinery.
