DREDGE OPERATOR – PROJECT BASED Long-Term Project Opportunities | Multiple Positions Available Canada Pump and Power is growing, and we are looking for Dredge Operators to support upcoming long-term projects. This is a great opportunity for experienced Heavy Equipment Operators who are interested in expanding their skill set and learning specialized dredging operations. This role is especially well-suited for Excavator Operators who understand equipment movement, controls, positioning, production targets, and working safely in active field environments. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING As a Dredge Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating dredging equipment on industrial, municipal, and remote project sites. You will work as part of a field crew to support pumping, dredging, and water management activities. Key responsibilities include: * Safely operate dredging equipment and related support equipment * Monitor dredge performance, production, flow, and operating conditions * Complete pre-use inspections, FLRAs, and required site documentation * Assist with setup, operation, maintenance, and demobilization of dredging systems * Communicate with supervisors, pump operators, and other crew members throughout the shift * Identify hazards, equipment concerns, or changing site conditions and report them promptly * Support basic maintenance, housekeeping, fueling, and operational checks * Follow all company, client, and site-specific safety policies and procedures * Be willing to learn new equipment, techniques, and site processes WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR We are looking for reliable, mechanically inclined operators who take pride in safe work, teamwork, and learning new skills. Ideal candidates will have: * Previous heavy equipment operating experience * Excavator operating experience is considered a strong asset * Experience working around pumps, water, slurry, tailings, ponds, lagoons, or civil/industrial projects is an asset * Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn dredging systems * Ability to work in remote, industrial, and outdoor environments * Ability to complete daily inspections, FLRAs, and field paperwork accurately * Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with a crew * A safety-focused mindset and willingness to follow site procedures * Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract preferred * Reliable, flexible, and available for project-based work WHY JOIN CANADA PUMP AND POWER?
